PURPLE SKIES FARM SHARE CSA TERMS
By purchasing a Purple Skies Farm CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) share, also known as the Farm Share, either for yourself or as a gift, you agree to the following terms below as the recipient.
PAYMENT
Once you sign up and pay for my membership in full, you have secured your place in the CSA for the respective season. Unfortunately, we cannot refund a Farm Share once the program has started. We use the funds to purchase enough growing materials, and we start planting right away to ensure all our members receive great return on their Share purchase.
Members may choose to find an alternate person to buy out the rest of the season’s share, and the share ownership will be transferred to the alternate person. The alternate person can pay the original shareholder directly.
SHARE DATES
The start of each CSA share is flexible and based on seasonal conditions and product availability. We will communicate via email to inform all shareholders of updates and start dates. If you are not receiving our updates, please email us, especially near the specified CSA start dates shared in the product details.
PICKING UP YOUR SHARE
Pickups will happen on regular weekly basis with limited deviations. If you are out of town or unable to pick up your share for any reason in a given week, make sure that you communicate with us to set up an alternative, make up date. Or make sure someone else can pick up your share. We cannot give credit or a refund for any shares that you are unable to pickup.
PICKUP TIMES & LOCATIONS
Pickup time parameters are specific to each date. You will need to pick up your share during the designated time period on the designated day.
The pick up location is at Purple Skies Farm on Saturdays (10AM-1PM).
SHARING OUR SEASON MEANS SHARING RISK
We promise to do our best to provide you with a bountiful share each week. We use irrigation, row cover, integrated pest management and other sustainable practices to minimize the risk of crop loss. Despite these efforts, the quantity of produce may vary from week to week and season to season due to extreme weather, insects or other production factors. By joining our CSA, you are agreeing to share the risk of crop failure with us and other members.
COMMUNICATION
By signing up for the CSA, you will be added to the weekly email list, and agree to add purpleskiesfarm@gmail.com to your email contacts. This is how we will communicate updates, changes, and what will be in shares each week. Make sure we don't get sent to your spam folder! Please notify us immediately if you do not receive an e-mail receipt of your payment or weekly CSA emails.
